自分が見たものを伝えたら信じてない模様。
じゃあ来て自分で確かめてみたら？と言いたい、そんな時使える表現の仕方です。
come see for yourself
例えば、
A: Honey, the shirt you bought for Ken yesterday is too small.
B: That’s not possible!
That is for 2–year-old kids and he is 1 year and 3 months old.
A: Why don’t you come see for yourself?
A: あのさー、昨日君がケンに買ったシャツ小さすぎなんだけど。
B: えーあり得ない！ あれ２歳用で、ケンは1歳3ヶ月よ！
A: 自分の目で確かめてごらんよ。
come see for yourself や、come visit me 、
go see a doctor など、２つ動詞を並べて言う表現をよく見かけます。これは、間のand が省略されてよりcasual な表現になっています。
